From Bach to Broadway, “Introducing…” highlights HBQ’s unique programming.

While including standards of the brass quintet literature, this recording brings fresh new arrangements, and introduces two works brand new to the brass quintet world.   New arrangements of Rodgers & Hart’s “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered” from the 1940s musical Pal Joey, and Mascagni’s beautiful "Intermezzo" from the opera Cavalleria Rusticana highlight a track list which also includes Jack Gale’s stirring arrangement of "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square" and the technical virtuosity of of J.S. Bach’s “Contrapunctus IX” from The Art of Fugue.

Also featured are two brand new works by HBQ collaborator RJ Satchithananthan: "Solea", a flamenco-inspired piece; and “Stray Goat”, a funk-inspired show opener.
